Job description Join Our Team and Create Beautiful Floral Experiences French Florist is seeking a creative, passionate, and talented Part-Time Floral Designer / Shop Assistant to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who has a genuine love of flowers and design, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working in a fast-paced floral shop environment. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with beautiful flowers from around the world and create stunning floral arrangements that leave a lasting impression on our clients. You'll also play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our boutique, from caring for fresh flowers and maintaining inventory to helping clients and preparing orders for delivery. This is an onsite position at our Boca Raton, FL area store. What You'll Do Floral Design & Client Services Design and create beautiful floral arrangements for a variety of client needs and occasions Use your knowledge of floral design techniques to create arrangements that meet French Florist's standards Assist clients with their individual flower and floral arrangement needs Work with a variety of fresh flowers and create designs that are both beautiful and thoughtfully composed Adapt to changing client demands throughout different seasons and holidays Flower Care & Shop Operations Process fresh flowers, including cutting, feeding, watering, and proper storage Keep the floral cooler clean, organized, and beautifully displayed Sort, organize, and rotate flowers to maintain quality and freshness Organize inventory, rotate boxes, and coordinate flowers by color and type Stock vases, floral supplies, and other materials needed to create finished arrangements Assist drivers with locating orders and gathering delivery trips Process vendor invoices and ensure all billed items have been received Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace What We're Looking For Successful applicants will possess: At least 5 years of experience in retail floral design is required A strong understanding of floral arrangements and design techniques A keen eye for detail and a passion for flowers and design Strong verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment A strong work ethic and a sense of urgency Adaptability and the ability to handle changing demands during busy seasons and holidays A genuine passion for creating beautiful floral designs Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills Strong data entry and computer skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail If you are a talented Floral Designer who loves flowers, enjoys creating beautiful works of art, and takes pride in providing excellent client service, we would love to hear from you. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and move objects and shipments weighing up to 50 lbs Comfortable climbing ladders and working in a busy retail environment Physical stamina to support daily shop operations Ability to move large shipments of floral supplies and materials Schedule Requirements Our shop is open six days per week, and we are seeking candidates with flexible availability. Availability is required on Mondays, Fridays, AND Saturdays , as these are key shifts we are actively looking to fill on a regular weekly basis. Weekly hours may vary based on business needs, seasonal demand, and client volume. Evening availability is also required.

Pay:

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
