Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and creative Floral Designer to bring beauty and artistry to our floral department. In this vibrant role, you will craft stunning floral arrangements, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience. Your expertise in floral design, combined with a keen eye for detail and a love for nature, will help create memorable displays that delight our customers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your artistic talents while working in a dynamic retail environment. Responsibilities Design and assemble custom floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and everyday purchases Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related products, offering expert advice on floral care and design options Maintain the floral display area by organizing stock, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all arrangements are fresh and visually appealing Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions and handle cashing out with precision Manage inventory levels by stocking flowers, greenery, containers, and accessories efficiently Ensure proper plant identification to advise customers on care requirements and suitability for different environments Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies to highlight seasonal themes and promote sales Skills Proven experience in floral design or related arts such as gardening or horticulture Strong knowledge of plant identification, floral arrangement techniques, and plant care practices Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and cashiering procedures Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to engage positively with clients Outdoor work experience preferred for handling plants and working in various weather conditions Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and floral arrangements efficiently Knowledge of lawn care and landscape maintenance is beneficial for providing comprehensive gardening advice This role is perfect for energetic individuals who thrive in a lively environment and enjoy working outdoors or in a retail setting.
