Job Description
Chevy Chase Florist is seeking a floral designer for a part or full-time position. We are a long established, high-end shop right in Friendship Heights. We specialize in bespoke floral arrangements for all occasions, events, and subscription memberships. We are looking to expand our diverse team with individuals who bring a positive attitude and a fresh, unique perspective in floral design. Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria: Floral design experience - Candidates with extensive floral design experience are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with entry level experience. Our design space is often a fast paced environment. Candidates must be comfortable working on your feet, and minor lifting is required. Excellent interpersonal skills - All employees are expected to work as a team, and each have a strong command of customer service. Working knowledge of Windows-based systems and basic computer skills - point-of-sale is a web-based platform, and much internal/external communication is done via email. Availability - This is a part or full-time opportunity (16-40 hrs per week) with flex scheduling and potential for overtime during peak holiday and event seasons. Candidates must be available to work 1-2 Saturdays per month, and also be available for major floral holidays (Thanksgiving week, days leading into December holidays, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day).
