A Floral Designer works with flowers and greens to create displays and arrangements. Creates single arrangements or displays for larger events such as weddings, funerals or banquets; creates and maintains flower displays in hotels or offices. May grow flowers or order from wholesale suppliers.
We are seeking a creative, organized, and customer-focused Flower Shop Manager & Floral Designer to lead the daily operations of our busy floral shop in the Fountains of Arbor Lakes. The ideal candidate has at least 3-5 years of professional floral design and managerial experience , strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences. This position combines hands-on floral design with team leadership, inventory management, sales, and shop operations. Responsibilities:
Lead by example in professionalism, attitude, and customer service while supporting and motivating the retail and design team. Be proactive in identifying problems and presenting solutions. Communicate clearly with ownership about shop performance, staffing, and customer feedback. Coach employees through regular feedback and training. Help onboard and train new team members. Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture. Create daily priorities and delegate tasks effectively. Address customer service issues and employee concerns professionally. Assist customers in selecting the perfect flowers and arrangements to meet their needs. Maintain inventory of fresh flowers, plants, and supplies Operate a Point of Sale register and handle transactions accurately Keep the store clean and organized through sweeping, mopping, and cleaning buckets, etc. and follow the cleaning list daily. Supervise floral design, sales, and customer service to maintain consistency and quality. Take wedding and funeral consultations. Design, set up/ tear down weddings Available to work evenings and weekends
Additional Qualifications:
Able and comfortable to be at the shop alone for a period of time. Capable of doing deliveries with the company vehicle when needed. Knowledge of retail sales, POS systems, and cash register operation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Creative flair and passion for floral design Lift 50+ lbs Valid driver's license Ability to be on feet all day We are a rapidly growing, woman owned flower shop.
