Cleveland Studio Floral is a Cleveland Based high end Event and Floral Design Company that has been in business for 15 years. We currently are located in Brooklyn Hts., in the Hinckley Industrial Parkway, on Van Epps Rd. We service all of Northeast Ohio, and travel on occasion to surrounding states. We pride ourselves with excellent customer service and modern high end designs.

FLORAL DESIGNER

Studio Floral Event Design is currently looking for experienced part-time/full-time event floral designers to join our team. Applicants MUST be available to work ALL weekends and be available for Major Holidays including New Years Eve. You will design with the most beautiful product always available at your fingertips in a design area with room for you to create designs that compliment the Studio Floral level of design. Applicants should be experienced in all aspects of floral design including with heavy emphasis on Weddings and Events. Ability to handle multi tasks during peak periods and available to work weekends and holidays is a must.

Candidate Attributes Knowledgeable in the floral industry; previous experience in high-end custom floral sales and design is preferred. Willing to train the right candidate if the motivation to learn is clear. Proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet design needs Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills High level of enthusiasm and self-motivation Self-directed and time efficient with thorough follow up skills Must have superb customer service skills Job Responsibilities Consistently create floral designs incorporating effective and innovative use of colors, floral materials, vessels and accent materials, while meeting established criteria for Studio Floral's design styles and cost of goods in a warehouse environment Day to day responsibilities will be dependent on business needs including, but not limited to event design and installation, as well as participating in corporate, residential, gift and custom design and installation Develop a working understanding of the basic Studio Floral Styles of design and accurately create designs based on established standards Apply proper flower handling fundamental techniques Meet and consistently maintain required standards of production Successfully interpret clients' wishes on custom design orders Possible client contact and sales responsibility as business needs require Keeps the design room and cooler clean and arranged in an efficient manner. Monitors rotation and use of cut flowers, greens, and hard goods on a daily basis. Candidate Profile 2+ years of custom floral design experience in a high-end, high volume floral shop or design studio is preferred. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team-oriented environment Proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet client needs Strong interpersonal skills, with a high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively Valid driver's license free of violations and must own a vehicle. Other Flexible schedule required, including regular weekend availability Peak business periods will require extended work days and work weeks Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Not afraid to climb ladders and design 8-10 feet in the air. Hourly pay rate will be commensurate with experience.
