Full Job Description Position Summary:
Event Designer, Floral and Decor Sales, in the Philadelphia Market The Event Designer is responsible for the sale and design in the Philadelphia market that products and services including but not limited to floral design, lighting design, draping, event styling and linen and equipment rentals. This individual will be responsible for proactively generating sales leads by partnering with area vendors and venues, networking with existing and new contacts, and attending networking events. The Event Designer will meet with prospective clients to assess their event needs. They will provide guidance on flower types and availability, design styles, and how best to allocate the budget to achieve the desired outcome. The Event Designer will be able to generate proposals that are within the client's budget without sacrificing quality or profitability and align with Beautiful Blooms' design standards. Once a design has been agreed upon, the Event Designer will manage the account for any changes to the design or product selection, as well as all required invoicing, up until the time of production. The Event Designer will create any final floral recipes and communicate all event details to the production and logistics team. On the day of the event, the Event Designer will be responsible for checking the venue to ensure quality and client satisfaction. In addition to sales and design responsibilities, Event Designers
  • will, from time to time be required to complete special projects including but not limited to styled photo shoots, designing new products and services and collaborating with other departments within the company.
This individual should be knowledgeable on event industry trends and is expected to participate in ongoing training, education, and research to stay abreast of new flower varieties, rental items, and event industry happenings. Each team member is expected to assist as needed to ensure flawless execution. The Event Designer will be expected to perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs. This position is a full-time, commissioned position requiring evening and weekend availability.

Essential Knowledge & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a design-related field
Certificates/Licenses:
Work Experience:
  • 3-5 years proven sales experience
  • 1-3 years of design experience
  • Knowledge of floral varieties, season, and pricing is strongly preferred Freedom from illegal use of drugs and freedom from the use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
