Full-Time or Part-Time, Hourly (35 hours/week total)
Hours:
We're ideally looking to fill 35 hours/week, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. We'd love to find one person for a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri), but we're also open to splitting the role between two part-time team members with complementary schedules (e.g., one covering Mon/Wed/Fri, the other Tue/Thu). Some flexibility needed during peak season.
Pay:
$14-$16/hour, depending on experience Job Summary Texas Pressed Flowers is looking for a creative, organized, and dependable Studio Assistant to help preserve wedding, memorial, and special-occasion flowers while supporting the day-to-day operations of our growing pressed flower art business. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys detailed artistic work, thrives in a small business environment, and takes pride in creating meaningful keepsakes for clients. Responsibilities Flower Processing & Preservation Receive and process incoming bouquets promptly (most intake happens Mon-Wed) Carefully press flowers using our studio methods to preserve color and shape Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the studio Design & Production Assist with designing custom pressed floral frames and keepsakes Arrange pressed flowers into finished pieces based on customer requests or design templates Help with finishing touches, quality control, and packaging Prepare completed orders for shipping and local pickup Maintain quality and consistency across finished pieces Client Experience Communicate professionally with clients via email, phone, and messaging Provide order updates and assist with scheduling Help maintain accurate order records and timelines Studio & Business Support Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies Keep workspaces clean, organized, and stocked Help photograph finished pieces Support special projects as the business grows Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Highly detail-oriented and organized Creative with a strong eye for design and composition Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated Comfortable working with delicate materials Friendly and professional with clients Comfortable learning new skills No prior floral or pressed-flower experience required — we'll train you on our process.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
