We are also a full-service retail florist handling daily floral orders for all occasions as well as weddings and events. We have been in operation since 1990, and our family has serviced the floral industry in Waco for six consecutive generations dating back to 1892. Experience 2 years + Employment Type Full-Time Job Description We are hiring an experienced floral designer who is fluent in both English and Spanish to join a family-oriented company with a proven record of success. We are the premier event florist in Central Texas, and our business is growing rapidly. We are hiring full-time designers to sell and manage events from beginning to end as well as daily and sympathy arrangements and VIP account management. An event designer will be well organized and sales oriented. Other tasks will include assisting walk-in customers, invoicing sales, and some delivery along with providing assistance for the wholesale operation as needed. We offer an hourly wage with overtime. Additionally, we assist with relocation expenses! Job Qualifications Fluent in both English and Spanish Basic computer skills such as typing and Microsoft Office Experience Must have wedding and event experience Ability to create both traditional and contemporary designs for everyday, sympathy and event arrangements Up to date knowledge of design trends Good customer service Attention to detail Must be up to date on current design trends. Willing to work independently or as part of a design team. Organizational and multitasking abilities are a must. Ability and desire to learn One year of wedding and event floral design experience required Good driving record and valid driver's license Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. upon hire Pay Full-time pay commensurate with experience. This position is non-exempt from overtime wages and subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Company, in its sole discretion, may reimburse a successful applicant for certain relocation expenses. Work Term and Hours The position is full time - 40 hours per week. Some overtime work is required. Employment is at will, enabling the employee or the employer to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without reason.
