The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral arrangements and an eye for detail, ensuring that each design meets our high standards of quality and aesthetics. As a Floral Designer, you will work closely with customers to create beautiful floral displays for various occasions, while also managing inventory and maintaining a welcoming retail environment. Duties Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and everyday celebrations. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs. Maintain knowledge of current floral trends and techniques to ensure innovative designs. Manage inventory by stocking supplies, monitoring product quality, and placing orders as needed. Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while providing receipts to customers. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations within the shop. Assist with landscape maintenance as needed, ensuring all outdoor displays are well-kept and visually appealing. Utilize retail math skills to manage pricing, discounts, and sales effectively. Qualifications Previous experience in floral design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English. Experience in retail sales and cash handling is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Knowledge of stock management practices to ensure efficient inventory control. A keen eye for design, color coordination, and attention to detail is essential. Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends or holidays as required by business needs.
