Fully Onsite Position Summary The Graphic Designer is a hands-on graphic design and prepress role within a fast-paced corrugated packaging and manufacturing environment. This position works closely with Customers, Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Vendors to prepare packaging artwork and graphics for production. The role utilizes Adobe Creative Cloud, ESKO, EFI, CAD, Microsoft, and other proprietary software to manage projects from initial artwork through production. The ideal candidate will have packaging or printing experience, strong technical and creative skills, and the ability to understand how flat artwork translates into finished three-dimensional packaging. Responsibilities Prepare and adjust customer artwork and packaging layouts for Flexo and Digital printing. Work from project management logs and production specifications to complete packaging design and prepress projects. Create rough layouts, mock-ups, renderings, and other design materials using CAD and graphics software. Partner with Customer Service, Sales, and customers to review designs, obtain approvals, and finalize artwork. Work closely with Production to ensure successful production runs and troubleshoot artwork or design-related issues. Coordinate projects through WebCenter and with outside tooling vendors, agencies, art services, and printers. Manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Regularly interact with the production floor and other departments to support projects through completion. Maintain a high level of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail throughout the design and production process. Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of flexographic, lithographic, digital prepress, packaging design, or related print-production experience. Associates or higher Degree in Graphic Design, with prepress and color theory preferred, or equivalent experience in a similar role Corrugated packaging experience strongly preferred. Experience with ESKO ArtiosCAD and WebCenter strongly preferred. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Prepress software proficiency and experience working on both MAC and PC platforms. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; Amtech experience is a plus. CAD, drafting, and project management/workflow software experience is a plus. Strong understanding of basic measurements, including the ability to read a tape measure and convert decimals to fractions. Strong visual, spatial, and mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand a flat layout and visualize the finished three-dimensional package. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines. Creative, resourceful, technically minded, and comfortable working collaboratively across departments. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a graphics/CAD workstation. Ability to stand and walk throughout the facility as needed. Ability to regularly navigate stairs between the Design Department and other areas of the facility. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Comfortable working in and around an active manufacturing and production environment. Speaking and hearing frequently. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.
