Monday•Wednesday, 7:30 AM•4:00 PM Position Summary The Graphic Artist is responsible for creating, preparing, and optimizing artwork for dry-offset printing on plastic packaging products. This role ensures all graphics meet customer specifications, print quality standards, and production requirements within an injection molding and thin-wall packaging environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop artwork for plastic containers, lids, labels, and packaging products Prepare and adapt customer-supplied files for offset printing, ensuring accuracy in layout, color, and dimensions Perform prepress functions, including color separation, trapping, stay-aways, and file optimization for production Ensure accurate color matching using PMS standards Collaborate with customers, sales, and production teams to meet design specifications and deadlines Review proofs and implement revisions prior to final production approval Support press operators during setup to ensure artwork prints correctly on molded parts Troubleshoot print and artwork issues, including registration, distortion, and color variation Maintain organized digital file systems for artwork, plate files, and revisions Ensure compliance with food-grade packaging regulations and brand guidelines Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of graphic design or prepress experience, preferably in packaging or print production Experience with dry-offset printing (plastic or packaging industry preferred) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Strong understanding of color separation and print processes Knowledge of prepress and production file preparation Ability to interpret technical requirements and customer specifications
