Visual Information Specialist (Graphic Designer)

Client/Contract:

Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)

Security Clearance :

DoD Secret or the ability to obtain Secret Clearance (facilitated by KBS)

Location :

Pentagon - Arlington, VA (metro accessible only / No Parking on site)

Salary :

$60,000-65,000 a year based on experience. Position type :

Full Time/Exempt Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 1st shift (potential for early working hours)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, design, and layout a variety of media for organizations, such as charts, presentation slides, logos, illustrations, exhibits, etc. Plan and execute the visual aesthetics of printed media. Select format, size, appearance, cover design, and color scheme for technical manuals, publications and posters. Work closely with expert graphic designers, analysts, web developers, and exhibit designers to strategize methods and techniques that ensure a well-developed product.

Other primary duties include:

Visual communication Computer graphics and layout design Pre-press Logo development Branding and identity Briefings and presentations Displays and exhibits Interior and exterior signage Publication design Illustrations Visual campaigns

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

DoD Secret Clearance or the sbility to obtain DoD Secret Clearance (KBS will Facilitate) Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant military experience Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Fireworks, Dreamweaver) Possess solid understanding of and experience with Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be a U.S. Citizen
