Do you want to join a team of creatives who work hard and enjoy collaboration? We are seeking a graphic designer to assist in our Tampa office with the production and workflow of our newsletter and calendar department. In this position, you will mainly create layout designs for print on our digital press and wide-format printers. The ideal candidate will also value the office environment and camaraderie at Corwin.
Responsibilities:
Create monthly content specializing in printed newsletter and calendar content relevant to our long-term care clients. Effectively upload to the web. Participate in the development of marketing campaigns from ideation to final delivery, in a full range of media (digital, print, event and other forms). Develop and manage relationships with Corwin clients via web chat and phone. Print artwork to our large format inkjet printers, including rolling and packaging poster prints Organize and manage large amounts of shared files on an internal server with other designers. Maintain current organizational system. Participate in other duties outside of the design department, including but not limited to answering phones, shipping packages, and printer maintenance.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a designer (in school counts!) Excellent communication and collaboration skills as well as experience with digital tools such as Slack and Trello Ability to help older clients succeed in using our website and their computers via phone and chat support Must upload or provide a portfolio demonstrating a range of work, thorough understanding and application of design principles, typography, and image quality Knowledge of or enthusiasm in digital printing process and how to design and create files for optimal print quality and efficiency Intermediate to Expert level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop Expert in page layout with an eye for magazine-style design Attention to detail and organized Proficiency in file management Familiar with macOS A sense of humor Ability to proofread text is a big plus
