Job Description

Summary The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing high-quality visual communications that promote the Louisiana Lottery's products, initiatives, and brand. Working under the direction of the Director of Creative Services, this position develops creative concepts and executes marketing materials across print, digital, retail, advertising, and promotional channels. The Graphic Designer ensures all work aligns with established brand standards while meeting demanding deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design and produce creative marketing materials for instant games, draw games, promotions, special events, retailer communications, and corporate initiatives. Create artwork for a wide variety of media including: Outdoor advertising Print advertising Digital advertising Social media graphics Website graphics Point-of-sale materials Retail signage Billboards Direct mail Promotional merchandise Event displays Internal communications Assist the Director of Creative Services in developing creative concepts and campaign executions. Prepare production-ready files that meet vendor and printer specifications. Ensure all projects adhere to Lottery brand standards, visual identity guidelines, and legal requirements. Revise artwork based on feedback from the DoCS, Marketing team, executive management, and other stakeholders. Maintain organized digital files and archives for all creative assets. Coordinate with printers, promotional vendors, photographers, illustrators, and other outside vendors as assigned. Review proofs for color accuracy, layout, typography, and production quality before approval. Assist with photography direction, image selection, and photo retouching. Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines. Stay informed of current graphic design trends, printing technologies, software updates, and digital marketing best practices. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for advertising campaigns and promotional initiatives. Assist with production scheduling and workflow as directed by the DoCS.
