Montana Knife Company About Us:
Montana Knife Company is building more than premium American-made knives. We are building a brand around craftsmanship, grit, quality, and bringing American manufacturing back one knife at a time. We are a direct-to-consumer business, and every marketing decision must drive measurable results, deepen customer relationships, and support long-term brand growth.
Position Overview:
The Graphic Designer I will work closely with the marketing team to produce and update retail store signage, point-of-sale materials, and other templated graphics for our flagship store at MKC. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable following established brand templates and style guides rather than creating designs from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce and update retail store signage (shelf tags, posters, banners, window clings, POP displays) for our flagship store at MKC using existing brand templates. Resize and reformat approved designs for different sign sizes and placements within the store. Populate templates with new pricing, product info, and seasonal promotions. Maintain consistency with brand fonts, colors, and layout standards across all signage. Proof materials for accuracy (pricing, spelling, product details) before they go to print. Organize and file completed signage assets for easy retrieval and reuse. Assist with minor edits to existing marketing graphics as needed. Support the broader marketing team with basic design tasks during slower signage periods.
Qualifications:
0-1 years of experience in graphic design (internships, coursework, or personal projects welcome) Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator required; InDesign a plus) Strong attention to detail and comfort following brand guidelines precisely Ability to manage multiple small projects and meet deadlines Good communication skills and willingness to take direction and feedback Interest in the outdoor/hunting industry a plus, but not required No prior professional design experience required - this is a training-friendly, entry-level role.
What We Offer:
Mentorship and growth path toward broader design responsibilities.
Compensation:
Competitive entry-level salary (DOE)
Benefits:
Paid Vacation 401k Matching Program Full health insurance coverage
