Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Children's Apparel Print Designer to join our creative team! This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop eye-catching print designs that resonate with kids and parents alike. You will play a key role in conceptualizing, illustrating, and refining print patterns that bring our apparel collections to life, ensuring they align with current trends and brand identity. Duties Create original print designs using graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, emphasizing vibrant colors and playful themes suitable for children's apparel Develop artistic concepts through sketching, illustration, and digital rendering to visualize new print ideas Collaborate closely with fashion designers, textile specialists, and product development teams to ensure prints complement garment styles and fabric choices Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools for pattern placement and repeat design layout to optimize fabric usage and visual impact Incorporate principles of color theory and textile design to produce appealing, age-appropriate prints that appeal to target markets Stay updated on current children's fashion trends, seasonal themes, and popular motifs to inspire fresh design concepts Assist in the preparation of technical files for production, including colorways, specifications, and print placement details Requirements Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and graphic design illustration tools Experience with CAD software related to textile or garment design is highly preferred Strong skills in design sketching, illustration, and artistic concept development tailored for children's apparel Knowledge of textiles used in industrial fashion design, garment construction processes, and product lifecycle management Familiarity with color theory principles and vector illustration techniques for creating scalable artwork Ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams including fashion styling, merchandising, and product development Experience with sewing machines or sewing techniques is a plus for understanding garment construction details Artistic background with a portfolio showcasing professional art or design work relevant to children's fashion or graphic design illustration Join us in shaping playful, innovative designs that delight children while supporting the creative growth of our team!
