Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative, hands-on Graphic Artist / Sign Maker to join our team. This role combines design skills with practical production work, including preparing artwork, operating sign-making equipment, and helping produce high-quality signs efficiently. The ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated, eager to learn, and always looking for ways to improve speed, quality, and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• C reate and prepare professional sign designs, layouts, and production-ready artwork
• Assist with hands-on sign production, fabrication, finishing, and installation prep
• Operate and maintain sign-making equipment and tools
• Understand basic equipment function, mechanics, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Work efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality
• Look for ways to improve production speed, accuracy, and overall workflow
• Help teammates as needed and contribute to a positive, productive shop environment
• Learn new materials, processes, software, and equipment as the business grows
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized

Ideal Qualifications:

• Creative design ability with a good eye for layout, color, spacing, and detail
• Experience with sign design, print production, vinyl, fabrication, or related work preferred
• Comfortable working with hands, tools, materials, and production equipment
• Willingness to learn equipment operation, maintenance, and basic mechanics
• Self-motivated and able to manage tasks without constant supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to become faster and better over time
• Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and eagerness to help the team

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Flexi, or similar programs
• Knowledge of wide-format printing, vinyl cutting, laminating, substrates, mounting, or sign assembly
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment or production issues

Work Environment:

This position involves both computer-based design work and hands-on production in a sign shop environment. Candidates should be comfortable standing, lifting materials, using tools, and working with production equipment.
