Strong creative execution is critical to how those brands show up across retail, digital, social, trade marketing, events, and sales.
The Role:
The Contract Graphic Designer is a part-time creative role responsible for supporting Sungrown's ongoing graphic design and production needs across its portfolio of brands. This is a hands-on execution role for a designer who can work efficiently within established brand systems while also bringing fresh creative thinking to campaigns, product launches, retail programs, and other marketing initiatives.

Brand and campaign creative Retail and trade marketing design Digital and social content Sales enablement materials Packaging and product launch support Production design and asset resizing Creative file organization and management The ideal candidate is a versatile designer who can move comfortably between brands with very different visual identities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and turn creative briefs into polished, production-ready assets. Schedule Expectations This position is expected to support approximately 15-20 hours of design work per week . Hours may fluctuate based on product launches, campaigns, retail programs, events, and other business priorities. The designer should generally be available during normal business hours for communication, project reviews, and revisions, although most design work can be completed on a flexible schedule. Projects will be assigned and prioritized by the Marketing team. The designer will be expected to communicate proactively about workload, deadlines, project status, and any potential scheduling conflicts. Because Sungrown operates in a fast-moving industry, the ability to accommodate occasional quick-turn projects is important.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand & Campaign Creative Develop creative assets across Sungrown's portfolio of brands while maintaining each brand's distinct visual identity. Translate creative briefs, campaign concepts, and marketing strategies into polished visual executions. Develop campaign graphics for product launches, promotions, seasonal initiatives, brand programs, and retail activations. Maintain consistency with established brand guidelines, typography, color palettes, photography styles, and visual systems. Help evolve existing brand systems while maintaining recognizable brand equity. Retail & Trade Marketing Design Create retail marketing materials including posters, flyers, menus, shelf signage, display graphics, window graphics, educational materials, and promotional collateral. Develop retailer-specific creative for key accounts, promotions, vendor days, and partner marketing programs. Prepare files for print production and coordinate specifications with the Marketing team and outside vendors when needed. Adapt existing campaigns into multiple retail formats and dimensions. Support merchandising initiatives with clear, visually impactful creative. Digital & Social Content Create static and graphic-driven content for Instagram and other approved social platforms. Develop digital advertising creative, retailer media assets, website graphics, email graphics, and other digital marketing materials. Resize and adapt creative across multiple digital placements while maintaining visual consistency. Create simple motion graphics, animated assets, or short-form video graphics when applicable. Support recurring content calendars with efficient, brand-consistent creative production. Sales Enablement Design sales sheets, product one-sheets, sell-in materials, retailer presentations, promotional flyers, and other sales collateral. Create clear product communication materials that help Sales Representatives communicate product benefits, promotions, and launches. Update existing materials as products, pricing, strains, promotions, or programs change. Work with Marketing and Sales to translate complex product information into clear, visually compelling materials. Product Launch & Packaging Support Support new product launches with coordinated creative across sales, retail, digital, and social channels. Assist with packaging updates, label design, product renderings, mockups, and production files as needed. Adapt established packaging systems for new SKUs, strains, flavors, or product extensions. Review files for basic production accuracy, including dimensions, bleed, resolution, and print readiness. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and production partners to make necessary creative revisions. Production Design & Asset Management Resize, version, and prepare creative assets across multiple brands and formats. Maintain organized working files and final assets using Sungrown's established folder and naming conventions. Package and archive editable source files so projects can be easily accessed and updated by the Marketing team. Maintain organized brand assets including logos, fonts, templates, photography, packaging files, and campaign creative. Help improve templates and production workflows that allow recurring creative requests to be completed more efficiently. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with the Marketing Director, Senior Marketing Coordinator, Sales team, and other internal stakeholders. Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently. Ask appropriate questions when project objectives, specifications, or deliverables are unclear. Communicate project status, expected completion dates, and potential delays proactively. Balance creative quality with the speed and practicality required by a fast-moving CPG organization. Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail. What Success Looks Like Creative projects are completed accurately and on deadline. Each Sungrown brand maintains a distinct and consistent visual identity. Marketing and Sales teams have the creative assets they need when campaigns and products launch. Retail materials are visually compelling, easy to understand, and production-ready. Digital and social creative consistently meets platform and campaign requirements. Routine production work is completed efficiently without sacrificing quality. Source files and final assets are organized and easy for the Marketing team to access. Feedback and revisions are incorporated quickly and accurately. The designer can independently manage routine projects while collaborating effectively on larger creative initiatives.

3+ years of professional graphic design experience. Strong portfolio demonstrating brand, digital, print, and marketing design capabilities. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, hierarchy, and color. Experience preparing production-ready files for both print and digital applications. Ability to work within established brand guidelines while still bringing creativity to the work. Strong attention to detail and ability to proof your own work. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with occasional quick-turn requests. Reliable access to the hardware and software required to perform professional design work.
