Full Job Description Position Overview Role:
Graphic Designer Location:

Hybrid in Minneapolis; fully remote may be considered for the right candidate

Work Arrangement:

Local employees are expected to work in the Minneapolis office as needed for collaboration and project requirements. Remote employees may be asked to travel to Minneapolis periodically for team meetings or other business needs.

Position Structure:

This position may be structured as 0.5, 0.75, or 1.0 FTE, depending on the candidate's experience, areas of expertise, and availability. We are open to hiring one person across the full scope of the role or dividing the responsibilities between individuals with complementary strengths.

Salary Range:

The full-time equivalent salary range is $82,000

  • 86,000 annually, prorated based on the position's agreed-upon schedule: 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week): $82,000
  • 86,000 .75 FTE (30 hours/week): $61,500
  • 64,500 .5 FTE (20 hours/week): $41,000

Job Summary The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing thoughtful, high-quality visual communications that support Full Circle's brand, marketing efforts, and multidisciplinary project work. This role works across the organization, supporting internal teams including Marketing, Interpretive Planning, Architecture, and Landscape Architecture. The Graphic Designer translates complex ideas, project information, and community stories into clear and engaging visual materials for a variety of audiences and formats. The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator who can balance creativity with consistency, manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members, and produce polished work that reflects Full Circle's brand and values. Key Responsibilities Design & Project Support Create high-quality visual materials for Full Circle's Planning, Architecture, and Landscape Architecture studios. Design reports, presentations, proposals, diagrams, graphics, and other client-facing project materials. Translate complex project information into clear, engaging visual communications. Support project teams with consistent, polished design across print and digital formats. Marketing & Brand Create branded marketing materials for social media, website, recruiting, proposals, and business development. Support the development and execution of Full Circle's digital content strategy across social media and the company website. Design conference and event materials, including booth graphics, signage, presentations, and collateral. Maintain and evolve Full Circle's visual brand across internal and external communications. Collaboration & Workflow Work closely with team members across disciplines to understand their goals and turn ideas into effective visual solutions. Manage multiple design projects and deadlines while communicating priorities and progress. Maintain organized design files, templates, and reusable brand assets. Qualifications and Skills We recognize that candidates may not bring equal depth in every area listed. Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, communication design, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience may be considered. 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in an in-house, agency, architecture/design, planning, or professional-services environment. Strong portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, visual hierarchy, branding, and information design across print and digital formats. Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Demonstrated experience with and established knowledge of Dakota and Ojibwe art, visual culture, and design traditions. Strong document and presentation design skills, including experience working with longer-format reports, proposals, or publications. Ability to take complex or technical information and communicate it visually in a way that is clear and accessible. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain consistency across multiple documents, projects, and communication channels. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to receive, interpret, and incorporate feedback. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience with architecture, planning, landscape architecture, environmental graphics, mapping, or community engagement materials is preferred. Commitment to social equity, environmental justice, community-building, and respectful engagement with diverse communities. Working knowledge of accessibility requirements for written materials and physical environments, including ADA and ABA standards. Experience with 3D design is a plus.
