Who we are looking for:
Role Overview:
As our Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating marketing materials, managing brand assets, and supporting the production and design team. You will collaborate closely with the Design, Sales, Purchasing, and Production teams, as well as executive leadership, to ensure our visual branding is consistent, accurate, and engaging. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Digital Design Design and produce print projects, including catalogs, flyers, business cards, and banners. Develop and maintain a consistent graphic look and feel across all seasonal marketing materials. Assist with photography, layout, and copy for presentations and catalogs, sourcing stock photos as needed. Create digital assets for the company website, social media platforms, and tradeshow materials using traditional Adobe tools and AI where necessary. Fulfill time-sensitive requests for custom products and hot market events (e.g., the Super Bowl). Logo & Brand Management Track team logo updates and execute supersessions (logo changes) within 60 days of notification. Obtain final approval from the Design Manager or CEO (Ava DeMarco) before initiating logo updates. Manage the end-to-end product update process: create new artwork, update primary/lifestyle images, and organize files in high- and low-resolution folders. Create and update team swatch libraries in Adobe Creative Cloud. Verify correct item structures with the Purchasing department and communicate logo changes company-wide via email. Production Art & Asset Management Prepare and output accurate artwork for production printers (Roland and Mimaki). Assist the production team by generating custom artwork (e.g., Custom Chewy names, Custom Wedding Terrible Towel artwork). Maintain highly organized digital files on the company server using accurate naming conventions to ensure easy team access. Organize, tag, and date physical product samples so the team always works from the most up-to-date versions. Team Collaboration Actively participate in team Trello meetings to track progress and ensure projects are completed on time. Assist with physical and administrative preparation for industry tradeshows. The following is a summary of the essential skills needed for this job:
Design Skills:
You must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and AI image generation.
Communication Skills:
You will need to clearly communicate with coworkers on a regular basis, and interact with people at all levels of the company. You must be a competent and creative writer.
Organizational Skills:
You will need to juggle multiple projects, while managing long- and short-term deadlines
Flexibility:
You can smoothly handle changing deadlines, project revisions.
Problem-Solving Skills:
You are willing to jump in to help others and continuously improve your own design talents and skills.
Location:
This job is onsite at 2400 Josephine Street, on Pittsburgh's Southside What you need: 4-year degree in Graphic Design or adjacent field. Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop 1-5 years on-the-job experience a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong creative and technical skills. Ability to observe, learn, and incorporate new ideas quickly. Proactive, enthusiastic problem solver Working knowledge of AI tools for image generation and routine tasks.
