POSITION SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer Contractor addresses immediate visual design needs while strengthening internal creative team capabilities. This role delivers campaign-ready assets, facilitates practical design workshops, and builds reusable template libraries to improve consistency, efficiency, and staff execution independence.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
Immediate Production:
Independently produce high-quality visual campaign graphics, social assets, and video edits per client briefs.
Capability Building:
Facilitate practical visual design workshops to upskill internal staff in typography balance, grid composition, and layout hierarchy.
System Development:
Construct a centralized, reusable asset library and template system (e.g., Canva/Figma) to streamline ongoing production.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Visual Asset Production:
Design campaign graphics, social feeds, and video edits aligned with distinct brand style guides.
Design Enablement & Workshops:
Deliver hands-on workshops and reference guides to enable non-expert team members to utilize design templates.
Asset Library Assembly:
Build standardized Canva and Figma templates to enable internal staff to execute future assets independently.
Deliverable Quality:
Ensure initial visual submissions meet brand guidelines to eliminate excessive leadership feedback loops.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES
Visual Design Expertise:
Advanced mastery of typography, grid alignment, layout composition, and multi-brand execution.
Instructional Ability:
Demonstrated capacity to translate design principles into learnable techniques for non-expert team members.
Tool Proficiency:
Mastery of Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and social media visual best practices.
Independent Business Operation:
Ability to manage project scope, deliverables, and timelines autonomously as an established business entity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record as a professional Graphic/Visual Designer with a strong portfolio. Demonstrated experience conducting design workshops, training, or mentoring non-expert staff. Advanced technical proficiency in Canva, Figma, and Adobe Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience building scalable design systems or template libraries for growing creative teams. Familiarity with video editing and multimedia content production. Prior experience working within agile creative production cycles.
ENGAGEMENT LOGISTICS
Location:
Greater Houston, TX area preferred (for periodic on-site project milestones and in-person workshops); 100% remote open to qualified candidates.
Structure:
Independent Contractor (1099) on a project/contract basis.
Autonomy:
Contractor sets their own hours, daily work location, and execution methods to meet agreed project deadlines.
Equipment & Tools:
Contractor supplies all own hardware, software licenses, and workspace required to perform the services.
Performance Standard:
Evaluated strictly on deliverable quality and milestone completion, not hours tracked or presence on site. The Nuu Moon LLC welcomes proposals from qualified independent contractors and creative entities of all backgrounds.
Pay:
