Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This individual will be responsible for assigned graphic design projects on behalf of the Dallas Stars Hockey Club and StarCenter properties. The graphic designer will work closely with the Creative Director, Creative Manager and other Graphic Designers to create various visual aspects of marketing campaigns and materials, print collateral, website and mobile media. The ideal individual will be highly creative, organized and able to turn work projects quickly and efficiently. The individual will work within the brand guidelines established jointly between the Creative Director and Vice President of Brand Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Meet deadlines with creative and accurate designs as requested by the Creative Director and Marketing Managers. Design within the framework of the brand guidelines as set by leadership Licensed access to the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) Communicate professionally and effectively with other departments within the organization, as well as outside clients and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree, ideally with an emphasis in design, marketing or communications 5+ years with Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) Energetic with the ability to naturally manage both up and down organizational hierarchies Excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and work in a stressful and hectic environment Non-traditional working hours are required for this position at certain times of the season. Flexibility with schedule is anticipated and expected during the course of each season. A passion for creative design Physical Demands and Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
