A Graphic Designer works with text and images to create design for printed material or web sites. Develops visual designs, such as a logo, that establish an identity or brand for an organization, business or campaign; uses design skills to improve the visual impact of advertising messages, reports, books or websites. May produce documents and printed materials using desktop publishing software and equipment. May work for a publishing company or provide printed business or marketing material for business clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedules the center's workflow Helps co-workers and customers with file transfers, photo library options, online proofs, etc. Read and interpret a Work Order in order to determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy. Prepares comprehensive illustrations, sketches, layouts, and copy for print reproduction according to instructions of client or supervisor Provide proofs as necessary for customer approval. Inspects jobs for accuracy before sending them to the plotter or printer. Ensure correct material is used for all jobs and output device settings are accurate. Work with partner vendors & use their templates Performs customer logo maintenance and sourcing Performs daily/weekly computer back-ups Maintains all equipment including computers, plotters, and printers Maintains accurate electronic file storage, paper records and file backups Helps unload raw materials and cleans and maintains storage areas Works on different projects simultaneously Provide production assistance as necessary. Loads materials on/into printer and/or laminator, which may require some heavy lifting Establishes and maintains effective team relationships with all support departments Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferred Previous sign or print industry experience and Sign production software skills preferred Very strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to effectively and efficiently organize, prioritize, and manage clients, team members, and work
