Full-Time (W-2)

•22 per hour (pay rate might change based on experience) Position Overview We are hiring an experienced Graphic Designer to create and prepare artwork for our commercial signage projects, from concept through production-ready files. This role works closely with sales, project management, and production/fabrication teams to ensure every design reflects customer requirements, brand standards, and local sign-code compliance before moving into fabrication. This is not an entry-level position — candidates must have practical knowledge of commercial signage design and the production methods used to build the signs they design. Core Responsibilities Create original sign designs and layouts based on customer requests, brand guidelines, and site conditions. Produce production-ready vector files (cut paths, color callouts, dielines, material specs) for fabrication and installation crews. Prepare scaled elevations, mockups, and renderings to communicate design intent for customer and internal approval. Research and apply local sign-code and landlord criteria, including permit-ready drawings with site plans and elevations. Incorporate customer and sales revisions quickly while maintaining design and brand integrity. Confirm with production/installation teams that designs are fabricable, structurally sound, and consistent with approved specs. Maintain organized design files, templates, and brand asset libraries, especially for repeat or multi-location accounts. Proofread all files for spelling, color accuracy, scale, and technical correctness before release to production. Manage multiple active projects, adjusting priorities as deadlines shift, from concept through production release. Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in commercial signage design or fabrication artwork, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW (sign-specific software like FlexiSIGN, Gemini, or Onyx is a plus). Practical knowledge of sign types (channel letters, cabinet, monument, pylon, vinyl graphics, illuminated signage) and the production constraints — materials, cut tolerances, mounting methods — that affect design feasibility. Ability to produce scaled elevations, dielines, and technical drawings that a fabrication team can build from without ambiguity, including permit and sign-code awareness. Strong communication skills with customers, sales, and production teams; dependable, detail-oriented, and accountable for design accuracy. Legally authorized to work in the United States. How to Apply Apply through Indeed with a resume and portfolio showing previous design work.
