These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Qualifications:

BA/BS Degree in Bachelor?s degree in graphic design, visual communications, museum studies, or related field preferred. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Strong visual storytelling and layout skills. Ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging visuals. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills.

The Interpretive Specialist will work as part of a collaborative team developing interpretive panels and exhibits for the B Reactor. This role involves partnering closely with the interpretive writer to design and layout interpretive panels, source images, and create graphics that visually communicate complex scientific concepts in an engaging and accessible manner. Layout and Design Interpretive Panels Collaborate with the interpretive writer to design visually compelling interpretive panels. 40% Source Images and Graphics Identify and select appropriate images and visual elements to support interpretive content. Comply with copyright laws and secure image use rights when needed. 30% Develop Original Graphics Create new graphics and illustrations that simplify and convey complex scientific ideas. 20% Participate in Planning Meetings Engage in regular team meetings to review progress, share ideas, and ensure alignment with project goals. 10%
