Our Department:
The Graphic Design Intern role is on the Creative Services team. Creative Services is made up of graphic design, copywriting, and photography, and contributes to new product launches and day-to-day projects across the SWF family of brands. Creative team members work together to concept and develop exciting work that achieves goals, adheres to brand standards, and always keeps the consumer front of mind.
Role Overview:
The Graphic Design Intern will support our retail channel's Fall 2027 Launch by helping create the visual assets that bring new products to market across print, social media, web, and email. This role combines hands-on creative execution with consumer and market research, translating insights about trends, technologies, and consumer preferences into compelling design work. Working closely with copywriters, graphic designers, product managers, and channel marketing, the Graphic Design Intern helps produce cohesive, on-brand creative while learning how launch campaigns come together from concept to execution. This position is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented student who enjoys translating research and feedback into polished visual work, collaborating across teams, and exploring new tools and approaches to content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Insights Research the Fall 2027 launch product lines, using primary and secondary research to inform design ideas Identify the consumer needs, trends, technologies, and business models driving their growth, using that information to influence the creation of visual assets to support the fall launch in print, social media, web, and email. Creative Collaboration & Execution Attend team meetings and creative briefings to understand project goals. Collaborate with copywriters, graphic designers, product managers, and channel to create cohesive pieces to support the launch. Take feedback from senior team members and revise work accordingly. Brand & Innovation Make recommendations on how to adapt the company's specific brand voice to be more responsive to the current retail environment. Research and test AI tools that could help to streamline and accelerate content creation workflows. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field. A portfolio demonstrating design skills across print and/or digital media. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong attention to detail and ability to take direction and incorporate feedback. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred:
Experience creating assets for social media, web, or email marketing. Familiarity with AI-powered creative or content tools. Coursework or project experience involving consumer or market research.
