Sr. Mechanical Designer (Contract-to-Hire) We are partnering with a growing engineering organization seeking a Sr. Mechanical Designer to support industrial and manufacturing projects. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for an experienced designer with strong piping, equipment layout, and plant design experience. Responsibilities Develop piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and mechanical design packages for industrial projects. Create and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings in accordance with company, customer, and industry standards. Review project specifications and design requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy. Generate complete drawing packages, including revisions and as-built documentation. Perform design-related calculations and engineering analyses to support design validation. Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams. Conduct field verification and site walks as required to support project execution. Qualifications Experience in mechanical design and drafting within industrial, manufacturing, process, or heavy industrial environments.

Strong knowledge of:

Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Piping isometrics Piping plans and elevations Equipment layouts Structural and foundation drawings Ventilation and utility systems Ability to read, interpret, and modify existing P&IDs and piping isometric drawings. Experience routing new piping systems and modifying existing process piping. Familiarity with industrial process equipment and plant layouts. Proficiency with 3D CAD design software. Experience with structural platforms, pipe racks, concrete structures, or stormwater/drainage systems is a plus. Chemical, process, or manufacturing industry experience preferred. Pay:
