Full Job Description Product Designer:

Toys! Jada Toys is growing! We are looking for a passionate, progressive, and creative Product Designer who is driven and self-motivated with toy or consumer product experience in the girls toy category. You will be tasked to deliver on innovative and exciting toy products, this includes concept designs, 2D control art/specs, 3D models and prototypes for internal management review, development turnover and licensor approvals.

Responsibilities:

Create, design and develop toy products that meet the target customer needs for own IP and Licensed. Communicate and track all designs, materials and scope of the product with China and global teams to seamlessly bridge product from concept through production. Understanding of features and play patterns in the toy industry is a must. Oversee projects through the entire design process…while being innovative, be respectful to balance cost, quality and schedule. Work collaboratively with marketing, engineering, packaging, licensing and other internal key team members. Be adaptable to shifting priorities and be vigilant to keep your projects moving forward to hit deadlines. Successfully present concepts to management, internal partners and licensors. Prepare both 2D and 3D materials to make effective concept presentations. Provide direction and feedback during the development process that is attentive to the Licensors needs and wishes to make sure their brand is always well represented and held to the highest standard. Successfully evolve a concept through initial ideation, refinement, prototype execution to final product. Skills & Requirements 3 to 5 Years of Professional Toy Experience Experience designing girls' toys and/or girls' collectible products strongly preferred, with a strong understanding of current trends, aesthetics, preferences and play patterns Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) Strong, visual verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of materials and multiple manufacturing processes Knowledge of working with global partners Knowledge of working with licensed brands Ability to wear multiple hats from a design and product development prospective Demonstrates a strong design sense and problem-solving ability Proactively observes and gains understanding of the competitive marketplace BS/BA degree in
