full-time Senior Product Designer About the Role We're looking for a Senior Product Designer with exceptional motion and interaction design skills to join a small, early-stage team building the next generation of mobile financial experiences. This role is ideal for a designer who understands how motion, micro-interactions, and visual craft make a product feel intuitive, engaging, and polished -and can translate those ideas into scalable, buildable product experiences. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity , with the expectation that the right designer will have the opportunity to convert to a full-time role. You'll work closely with product and engineering to shape core mobile experiences from concept through launch, operating independently in a fast-moving environment. What You'll Do Own product design across key areas of the mobile experience, from early concepts and prototypes through polished, production-ready designs. Design primarily for native iOS and Android experiences, with a strong focus on interaction and motion. Create thoughtful motion and micro-interactions that make the product feel intuitive, engaging, and differentiated. Develop motion concepts into buildable patterns using tools such as Lottie . Work within and contribute to the design system , leveraging existing components and expanding patterns thoughtfully when new needs arise. Take ownership of ambiguous product areas, including rewards and gamification, crypto and investment experiences, and future social/community features. Partner closely with product and engineering to balance user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and product quality. What We're Looking For ~5 years of experience with a track record of independently owning complex product areas. Strong mobile product design experience, ideally across both native iOS and Android. Exceptional visual and interaction design craft , with a strong eye for polish, hierarchy, typography, and detail. Deep experience with motion and micro-interactions. Strong understanding of design systems , including working with established components and thoughtfully extending systems when needed. Experience designing complex or high-consideration products. Fintech experience is preferred , but not required. Comfortable working in a startup or small-team environment where priorities can evolve quickly. Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions. Contract-to-Hire Structure This role will begin as a 3 month, full time contract engagement , with the intent to convert to full-time based on mutual fit. During the contract period, you'll operate as an embedded member of the product + design teams. Location On-site in San Francisco, CA
