Key Responsibilities:

Lead and own all cost accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis Build and implement the company's cost accounting framework, policies, and procedures from the ground up Establish BOMs, product costing structures, and inventory tracking processes Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure accurate cost visibility and reporting Design and improve inventory controls, including cycle counts and physical inventory processes Oversee and enhance month-end close processes related to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) Evaluate current QuickBooks environment and recommend improvements or system enhancements to support scaling Develop reporting and KPIs to provide insights into manufacturing costs, margins, and operational efficiency Identify process gaps and implement automation or scalable solutions where appropriate Support leadership with financial analysis and decision-making related to cost optimization

Qualifications:

8-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with a strong focus on cost accounting Proven experience building or significantly enhancing cost accounting functions in manufacturing and semi-conductor environments Deep expertise in inventory accounting, standard costing, BOMs, and variance analysis Experience working in early-stage or high-growth companies with evolving processes Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (or similar ERP systems) and ability to assess system limitations Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with operations and supply chain teams Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment CPA or equivalent experience preferred
