We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our Industrial Design team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in translating bold design concepts into tangible, production-ready solutions, directly shaping the experience of future mobility products. Your expertise in digital modeling will bring to life innovative vehicle and hardware designs, ensuring every detail reflects a commitment to human-centered design and technical sophistication. What You'll Do Develop high-quality surface models that clearly communicate design intent across all stages of development, from initial sketches to refined production surfacing. Assess design concepts for feasibility, surface integrity, and manufacturing considerations, offering strategic recommendations for optimization. Deliver precise surface models within established timelines, adhering to specific quality standards for each project milestone. Lead and participate in design reviews and presentations of developed surface models. Conduct and support comprehensive surface quality evaluations.
What You'll Bring Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in industrial design, transportation design, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design and engineering, with a strong emphasis on prototype development, advanced design, and production development within the automotive or similar complex product industries. Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard surfacing software and best practices for surface design, from conceptualization to Class-A surfacing. Experience with advanced 3D modeling techniques, including subdivision modeling. Comprehensive understanding of the product design development lifecycle. Solid grasp of component design principles for manufacturability. Ability to confidently interpret design input from sketches and verbal instructions. Proficiency in working with engineering criteria and packaging constraints. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines. Demonstrated adaptability and effectiveness in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
