Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Craftsmanship & Sensory Experience Engineer to support Ford's vehicle development programs by driving craftsmanship quality, customer-perceived quality, and color/material (CMF) execution. This individual will help translate subjective customer experiences—including visual, tactile, and acoustic attributes—into measurable engineering specifications while coordinating cross-functional teams to manage CMF assumptions, change control, and launch readiness. This role directly influences vehicle quality perception and customer satisfaction by ensuring design intent is successfully delivered through engineering, manufacturing, and supplier execution. Skills and Requirements 1-4 years of experience in automotive engineering, product development, vehicle quality, CMF, customer attributes, design engineering, or a related field Experience supporting craftsmanship, fit/finish, quality, sensory experience, customer attribute, or design validation activities Ability to translate subjective customer feedback into measurable engineering requirements and specifications Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Marketing, and Suppliers Strong understanding of change management, issue tracking, concern resolution, and program milestone processes Experience supporting benchmarking, competitive analysis, or customer-focused product evaluations Knowledge of color, materials, finishes (CMF), interior illumination, or vehicle appearance quality preferred Ability to analyze impacts of engineering changes on cost, weight, tooling, timing, and supplier readiness Strong communication, organization, and project tracking skills
