Design Engineer:
The Design Engineer will work alongside a team of engineers to create mechanical products and systems that meet the customer's needs and expectations. Job Duties & Responsibilities of the
Design Engineer:
Plan and execute engineering projects based on customer requirements, market demand, and competitor analysis. Evaluate mechanical systems using research programs and principles of mechanics, hydraulics, and materials. Develop mechanical products by researching manufacturing methods and materials. Develop manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Ensure system and product quality through testing methods and quality control. Prepare product reports and provide engineering information as needed. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with regulations. Maintain system and product database by entering data and using computer programs. Stay up-to-date on professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications. Contribute to team efforts to accomplish related results. Education & Experience Requirements of the
Design Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required. 1-5 years of entry-level experience. Experience in heavy haul trailer engineering or heavy equipment engineering a plus. Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Excel and Design software systems. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical and technical skills. Understanding of cost accounting and lean enterprise principles. Ability to quickly learn new tools and systems.
Salary:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00
