Be an integral part of a business that is targeting exponential growth Competitive compensation, work directly with the President About Our Client My client is a contract manufacturer, specialized in custom mobility solutions, castings, wheels and more, serving industrial, institutional, and consumer goods sectors. They have been in business for multiple decades, but are experiencing a plethora of organic growth. As such, they are looking for a tenured Design Engineer to lead all product development and engineering efforts, while working hand in hand with leadership to drive overall business growth. Our client offers a unique opportunity to help build an established orgnaization with a "start-up" mindset. Job Description Help the business grow directly with ownership! Bridge gap between customer and supplier for design and production of new products Vendor management, managing technical specifications Develop new and existing product lines utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD Take a customer concept, through design, production, and delivery Sort through and clean up BOMs and associated budgets Develop standard work procedures MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant 6-10+ years of engineering experience, primarily with in Product/Design Engineering Engineering Degree
- Mechanical preferred Strong with 2D and 3D Modeling
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks specifically Understanding of complex Bills of Materials, experience updating and revising sub-assemblies, components, etc Some mix of experience working with metals, plastics, or rubber materials in design/mfg Exposure to quality is a plus Vendor management, specifically with suppliers in Asia a big plus Open to significant growth and positive challenges associated with it
