Job Description
The PHES (Propulsion-HVAC & Engine Systems) Senior Designer position is for a highly skilled and experienced designer for the Propulsion HVAC and Engine Systems Design Services team. The candidate will use NX CAD to perform packaging, concepts, designs, layouts and checking of Engine System components including, but not limited to the following: Plastic (or sheet metal) parts for the air induction systems, (air boxes, ducts, hoses, engine covers, etc.), and exhaust systems (hot end, cold end, etc.)Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Creation of explicit geometry, including use of parametric modeling.
Completion of advanced packaging feasibility studies.
Completion of manufacturability and/or feasibility studies.
Packaging assessments of new components / systems (i.e. Air Induction, Cooling, HVAC, Fuels, and Exhaust systems, etc.).Working with engineers to complete manufacturing/service studies.
Redesign models and complex assemblies to improve design quality.
Commonization studies.
Minimum 7 years of experience in NX or Catia - basic skills test may be administeredMinimum 7 years' design experience with relevant experienceExtensive experience with NX parametric solid modeling and TeamcenterStrong written and oral communications to lead design and packaging meetingsStrong organization, planning, and data management skillsAbility to create designs per engineering standardsAbility to understand, create, and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models and apply tolerancing0-20% travel, domestic and international

Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
