Position Overview:

Entry-Level Mechanical Design to Controls Design professional with possible experience in Body Shop Tooling Fixtures within automotive body shops. This is a growth position designed to develop skills in mechanical and controls design deliverables supporting light or heavy automotive Body-in-White (BIW) engineering projects.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge & SkillsDescription Develop skills to manage the overall completion of important and complex engineering tasks and projects. As skills develop, the individual may be required to initiate, direct, supervise, and control major and minor engineering projects within a specified area of responsibility. Provide administrative and technical guidance to a group of employees. Develop experience supporting light or heavy automotive Body-in-White (BIW) engineering. This is a growth position with opportunities to develop additional engineering responsibilities. Support peripheral automotive BIW departments and their deliverables. Nice-to-Have Knowledge & Skills Light or heavy automotive Body-in-White (BIW) engineering experience Strong organizational and planning skills Close attention to minor details Ability to follow structured processes and procedures Strong written and face-to-face communication skills Ability to work effectively in both large and small teams Behavioral Competencies Leadership and Site Support experience Ability to identify and analyze information to make decisions and solve problems Proficient in decision-making and problem-solving Nice-to-Have Software Knowledge NX (GM / Siemens)

Education & Experience Possible 2+ years of Mechanical Design and Engineering experience, OR Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology, OR Equivalent experience Work Environment This position supports automotive Body-in-White (BIW) engineering and tooling fixture-related deliverables. The successful candidate will develop technical knowledge and skills across mechanical design, controls-related deliverables, machine timing, operator studies, sequence documentation, customer standards, and other BIW engineering activities.

$28.00
