SPATIAL DESIGNER LEAD
(FULL-TIME) Contract type Full-Time Location Cherry Hill, NJ Specialty Creative Salary $100000 -120000 Remote No Reference 514648 Contact name Georgia Marogiannis Job description Overview Our client is a dynamic design studio that partners with high-profile clients including Nike, LEGO, and Google. They create immersive brand experiences from initial concept through final installation.
As the team continues to grow, they are seeking a Lead Spatial Designer to lead client conversations, shape and communicate design capabilities, and provide guidance and support to the broader design team.
Location:
Camden, NJ (relocation package offered)
Schedule:
3 days in office, 2 remote
Salary:
$100-120k
Benefits:
Health, dental, vision What You'll Do Spend approximately 70% of your time producing build-ready design work, including floor plans, form studies, material and finish direction, build-intent briefs, technical drawings, and 3D models.
Translate client concepts and project briefs into clear, practical design solutions for engineering, fabrication, and production teams.
Spend approximately 30% of your time leading design-focused pitches: developing pitch decks, presenting concepts to clients, and helping win new business.
Bring design expertise into client conversations alongside growth and project-management partners.
Develop original spatial concepts, visual treatments, renderings, and presentation materials for proposals and active projects.
Collaborate with project managers to align creative direction with scope, schedule, budget, materials, labor, and production requirements.
Introduce strong creative processes, design standards, and working habits that help the team deliver consistently high-quality work. What You Bring Experience in experiential, retail, exhibition, activation, or spatial design environments.
A portfolio that demonstrates both hands-on technical design work and polished, client-facing creative presentations.
Confidence creating and explaining design concepts to clients, including leading pitch discussions and presenting decks.
Working knowledge of project budgets, fabrication considerations, materials, labor, and production constraints.
Strong visual judgment, communication skills, and an ability to balance creative ambition with executional detail.
Experience building or mentoring design teams and coordinating freelance creative resources is preferred.
Familiarity with tools such as Fusion and Rhinoceros is a plus, but not required.
Industry knowledge, sound judgment, collaborative working style, and cultural fit are prioritized over any single technical qualification.
