Design Agency Seeks:
Digital Finishing & Prototyping/Comp Technician
  • Full Time in-office position
  • Hainesport, NJ

  • We're looking for someone who enjoys challenges, making, building, and creating—not just running a machine.
  • Our team designs and produces high-end retail prototypes, packaging mockups, presentation kits, and promotional displays for many of the world's most recognizable consumer brands.
  • One day you might be building a custom influencer kit, the next you're producing a prototype package that will be presented to executives before it ever reaches store shelves.

  • Operate our state-of-the-art Colex digital cutting table (cut, crease, route, kiss-cut, and finish printed materials)
  • Assemble premium presentation kits and retail prototypes
  • Build mockups for new product launches
  • Work with corrugated board, foam, plastics, paperboard, vinyl, and specialty materials
  • Help develop creative fabrication solutions for unique projects
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure every piece is presentation-ready
  • Package and prepare completed projects for shipment
  • Maintain equipment and keep an organized work area
You Need:
  • Artistic sensitivity…a creative eye and hands that can carefully build models/prototypes of packaging, cartons, boxes etc.
  • Good sense of how things work and go together
  • Some knowledge of tools and machinery
  • Attention to detail and superior sense of precision. We avoid phrases like "good enough"
  • Mix of both creative and technical skills to create a finished product that meets design goals
  • Ability to collaborate with graphic designers to execute final creative vision
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated and adaptable to change
  • Strong organization skills
  • Flexibility to jump in to help with office maintenance Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Colex, Zünd, Kongsberg, or CNC cutting tables
  • Sign production or wide-format printing
  • CAD/CAM equipment
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Woodworking, fabrication, or model making
  • Packaging or display production
  • Print finishing equipment
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum high school diploma or trade school certificate.
  • Legal US status and driver license
  • Basic knowledge of everyday office communication software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) If you are detail-oriented, love working with your hands, and want to be part of a creative team, we want to hear from you!
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
