- Hybrid Daikin Applied is seeking aCustom Engineer who will design and develop new products and product improvements by performing the duties below.

Hybrid•Plymouth, MN Your Responsibilities:
Provide imaginative and thorough solutions to a wide range of difficult problems Provide technical leadership in Daikin's proprietary cross-functional Factory Pricing Authorization process Support project management as technical lead, or for moderate programs as overall project manager Evaluate, analyze, and make recommendations on products, designs, and cost improvements to improve the competitive position of the company Procure materials needed to construct prototypes and supervises the design engineering of new models Plan and develop test programs for prototypes using Design of Experiments as needed for complex problems with many variables Analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional, performance, and safety specifications Analyze, evaluate, source, and coordinate the procurement of new materials to support model changes Analyze, evaluate, and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes Perform technical analysis of competitive productsand provide data-driven support to marketing initiatives Provide support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer support Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks Facilitate cross-functional communication and product design reviewsYour Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific, Engineering) 4+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience In-depth knowledge of principles and practices of engineering PC skills including Microsoft office applications Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skillsYour Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering in the HVAC industry Proficiency in agile project-management Basic skills with CAD applicationsYour Benefits:
