Help Keep a Creative Studio Organized and Moving Forward If you naturally notice when something is out of place, remember the details others may miss and enjoy helping a busy team stay organized, this could be an excellent opportunity to enter or develop your career in the design industry. Our Beaumont interior design and architecture studio is looking for a dependable Design Studio Assistant to support the daily flow of samples, project materials, meetings and administrative requests. You will work closely with designers and other team members, helping ensure that the studio remains prepared, professional and easy to navigate. This is not primarily a design or portfolio-based position. It is a practical support role offering genuine exposure to active projects and the behind-the-scenes operation of a creative studio. What You Will Do As our Design Studio Assistant, you will: Organize fabric, finish, flooring, hardware and product samples so they are labeled, current and easy to locate. Maintain the sample library and coordinate the return of borrowed or discontinued materials. Request samples from vendors and track what has been ordered, received, loaned or returned. Prepare meeting rooms, presentation materials, sample selections and basic client packets. Support designers with straightforward product research, including specifications, finish options, vendor details and availability. Scan, copy, file and name documents according to the studio's filing system. Keep physical and digital project files organized and up to date. Coordinate deliveries, local couriers and outgoing sample returns. Complete light data entry using spreadsheets and internal records. Monitor shared supplies and report when items need to be reordered. Keep worktables, meeting areas and sample spaces tidy and presentation-ready. Respond to routine team requests while balancing changing priorities and deadlines. What a Typical Day May Include You might begin by checking the day's meetings, preparing a presentation space and gathering the samples requested by a designer. Later, you could receive and label a vendor delivery, update the sample log, research a product, scan project documents or arrange a courier collection. Priorities may change as projects progress, so you should be comfortable moving between planned responsibilities and time-sensitive requests without losing track of important details. What Will Help You Succeed You do not need extensive professional design experience. We are looking for someone who: Is organized, dependable and attentive to detail. Communicates professionally with colleagues, clients and vendors. Is comfortable using email, calendars, shared folders and basic spreadsheets. Follows instructions carefully and asks questions when priorities are unclear. Manages time well and can handle several small tasks accurately. Treats client and project information with appropriate confidentiality. Is punctual, reliable and comfortable working on-site. Enjoys supporting a team and maintaining an orderly workspace. Experience in an office, showroom, retail, hospitality or customer-service environment may transfer well. Relevant coursework or projects involving design, administration or visual presentation may also be helpful. Schedule and Development This position may be full-time or part-time, depending on availability and business needs. All hours are worked on-site in Beaumont because the role involves physical samples, project materials and direct team support. Training will be provided on the studio's sample library, project files and presentation processes. As you gain experience, you will be encouraged to take greater ownership of routine studio organization. Please apply through Indeed with your current resume and include your general weekday availability.
