You will be the Pilot Vehicle Interface Design Engineer- Level 5 for the Pilot Systems Engineering (PSE) group
- Advanced Development Programs (ADP) which is responsible for designing and delivering innovative pilot vehicle interface solutions for advanced aircraft. What You Will Be Doing As the Pilot Vehicle Interface Design Engineer
- Level 5 you will be responsible for shaping next‑generation cockpit mechanisms and ensuring they meet mission needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Researching, designing, and constructing mockups of PVI mechanizations for tactical cockpits and presenting them to customers. Designing, simulating, and refining PVI solutions for controls, displays, sensors, weapons, and air‑vehicle subsystems. Collaborating with pilots, engineers, and simulation technicians to implement, evaluate, and document PVI designs. Providing subject‑matter‑expert support to brief and train test pilots, production pilots, and training systems engineers. Applying high‑level knowledge of 4th/5th‑Gen fighters, ISR aircraft, and other advanced manned and unmanned platforms to support operational studies. Basic Qualifications:
Recent DoD tactical aircraft operational and/or training experience in modern military unmanned aircraft as a pilot or aircrew. Demonstrated experience in aviation and technology such as technical degree or technology development/test experience.Desired Skills:
Experience with low observable manned or unmanned aircraft as a pilot/aircrew. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively within a team. Weapons School and/or Instructor pilot experience. DoD Top Secret security clearance.Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
