• Friday day shift schedule Medical, dental, pension and life insurance Paid Time Off Paid training in automotive adaptive equipment, mobility products and accessibility solutions Build solutions that make a real difference We're looking for a practical, hands-on Vehicle Adaptation Engineer to join our US team in Georgetown, Texas.

This isn't a desk-based engineering role and CAD experience isn't required . We're looking for someone who understands vehicles, enjoys solving practical problems and can turn existing products and components into safe, professional and repeatable vehicle adaptations. You might currently be working as a mobility equipment installer, automotive technician, vehicle upfitter, fabricator or adaptation specialist and be looking for an opportunity to use that experience to develop new solutions rather than simply install them. You'll work closely with our Engineering team in the UK to develop vehicle-specific applications for the US market. What you'll be doing

• Assess new vehicles and determine how our mobility products can be safely and effectively installed.
• Develop vehicle-specific adaptations using existing products, brackets and components.
• Measure vehicles and accurately capture mounting points, dimensions, photographs and installation information.
• Prototype, modify and fabricate brackets and components where required.
• Install and trial-fit mobility equipment into development vehicles.
• Solve practical installation and vehicle compatibility challenges.
• Test and validate new adaptations to ensure they are safe, robust and repeatable.
• Help turn successful prototype installations into clear parts requirements and installation methods.
• Provide practical technical support to installers, dealers and colleagues.
• Work with our UK Engineering team to improve products and develop solutions specifically for the US market. What we're looking for We're more interested in what you can do than the qualifications you hold . You'll ideally have:
• Hands-on experience within vehicle adaptation, automotive upfitting, vehicle conversion or a similar automotive environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience installing and modifying automotive equipment.
• Fabrication skills and confidence using workshop tools and equipment.
• The ability to accurately measure vehicles and develop practical solutions from those measurements.
• An understanding of vehicle construction and safe mounting/modification methods.
• The ability to read mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• The confidence to take ownership of a problem and see it through to a solution.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in the US and UK.

Experience with mobility lifts, hoists, driving controls, transfer aids, wheelchair equipment or other adaptive vehicle equipment would be particularly valuable. You don't need to be a traditional engineer A mechanical engineering degree is not required , and you won't be expected to spend your day designing parts in CAD. We're looking for someone with the practical experience and engineering mindset to look at a vehicle, understand the problem and work out how to make an adaptation fit, function and be repeatable . What success looks like You'll develop vehicle adaptations that are safe, practical and straightforward for others to reproduce. You'll help us reduce installation complexity, solve US-specific vehicle challenges and continuously improve both our products and how they're installed. Most importantly, you'll become a key technical link between our US operation, installers and global Engineering team
