Job Description
The Product Owner is primarily involved with the development or improvement of a specific product from customer specifications or sales team requests. The position is also responsible for the integration of materials, methods, testing, and tools necessary to bring new products to the company portfolio and sustain those products throughout the product life-cycle Job Description General Responsibilities
- Collaborates with all of the engineering functions in regards to a product or a product family from the initial design through production and transfer
- Key participant in other engineering functions including design, process, production, quality, and reliability
- Collaborates on audits of production methods to ensure time and cost goals are reached
- Organizes the introduction and production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production
- Key participant in the design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering of the product, in order to to solve product issues and production problems Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers Additional Responsibilities Define and maintain product development roadmaps Work cross functionally to drive successful product development and product launches Train the sales team on product features and provide appropriate reference and marketing documentation Act as an internal Subject Matter Expert for your products Refine product positioning to maximize product value and maintain market relevance Maintain continued compliance with relevant codes and standards for existing and new target markets.
Base Salary Range:
$92,800.00 - $127,600.00 At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.
