Draftsperson (Interior Design Firm AutoCAD)

High Camp Home is seeking a detail-oriented Draftsperson / drafting tech with strong AutoCAD expertise to support our design team in translating concepts into precise, buildable drawing sets. This role is responsible for producing clear, accurate documentation that carries projects from design development through construction. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction drawings using AutoCAD Translate sketches, redlines, and design markups into clean, organized CAD drawings Develop and maintain complete construction document sets Coordinate drawings with designers, consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment Review plans for accuracy, scale, and constructability Update drawings based on site measurements, field conditions, and revisions Maintain CAD standards, templates, and file organization across projects Assist with space planning and layout refinement as needed Qualifications Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (required) Strong understanding of drafting standards and construction documentation Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Experience in an interior design or architecture environment preferred Key Skills Technical accuracy and precision Strong communication and collaboration with design teams Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Problem-solving with a practical, buildable mindset Preferred Experience 1-2+ years in a drafting role using AutoCAD exclusively or as primary tool Experience with residential, hospitality, or high-end interior projects Understanding of local codes and permitting processes What Success Looks Like in This Role Clean, highly accurate AutoCAD drawing sets with minimal revisions Consistent adherence to firm CAD standards and layer organization Strong support of design intent while ensuring technical feasibility
