Boca Raton Mr. Kitchen Home Design is seeking an organized, creative, and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to support our interior designer and project team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys residential design, communicates professionally, and can help coordinate multiple projects from the initial consultation through installation. Responsibilities Assist with kitchen, bathroom, and residential interior design projects. Help prepare design concepts, mood boards, presentations, and material selections. Take accurate measurements and document project details. Assist with creating floor plans, layouts, drawings, and design revisions. Source cabinetry, countertops, flooring, fixtures, hardware, furniture, and accessories. Request pricing, samples, product information, and lead times from vendors. Maintain organized records of selections, specifications, proposals, and client approvals. Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, contractors, and installers. Schedule consultations, showroom visits, deliveries, and project appointments. Track orders, deliveries, backorders, and damaged or missing items. Attend client meetings, site visits, and installations when needed. Keep the design library, samples, and showroom organized and presentable. Assist with administrative tasks and project follow-up. Help ensure projects remain organized, accurate, and on schedule. Qualifications Experience or education in interior design, architecture, kitchen and bath design, or a related field is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with clients. Basic understanding of measurements, floor plans, materials, and design principles. Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, 2020 Design, or similar programs is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar business software. Ability to travel locally to client homes, showrooms, and project sites when required. Portuguese or Spanish language skills are a plus. Preferred Qualities Creative with a strong eye for color, materials, proportion, and presentation. Proactive and willing to learn. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment. Able to solve problems calmly and professionally. Interested in kitchen design, home remodeling, and residential construction. Physical and Scheduling Requirements Ability to visit active residential project sites. Ability to carry samples and light materials when needed. Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for client appointments or installations.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
