Position Summary SRQ Custom Cabinetry is seeking an experienced Cabinet Designer & Sales Consultant who combines technical expertise, creative design judgment, and a consultative approach to client service. Based primarily in our Sarasota showroom, this role owns custom cabinetry projects from initial inquiry and consultation through design, proposal, contract approval, production, and installation. The successful candidate will cultivate client relationships and present tailored design solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with homeowners, builders, contractors, and interior designers and can translate each client's vision into accurate, functional, and beautifully detailed solutions.
Responsibilities:
Create custom cabinetry designs, layouts, and 3D renderings using design software Welcome and assist walk-in showroom customers Conduct consultations to understand clients' needs, style preferences, budget and project goals Develop trust-based relationships with prospective and existing clients, identify project opportunities, and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the decision-making process Present design concepts, product options, estimates, and proposals Measure project spaces and gather project requirements Recommend cabinetry styles, finishes, hardware, and storage solutions Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, contracts, and project documentation, and explain pricing, scope, and payment expectations clearly to clients Coordinate with production and installation teams Review projects for accuracy before manufacturing Maintain clear client communication regarding project scope, pricing, timelines, changes, and next steps.
Qualifications:
2+ years of cabinet design, kitchen and/or bath design Proficiency with design software such as Cabinet Vision, 2020 Design, AutoCAD, or similar programs Excellent relationship management skills to work directly with homeowners, builders, contractors, and interior designers Ability to manage multiple, high-end projects from concept through final approval Strong eye for proportion, finishes, hardware, and overall design Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills
