5131 Hancock Road, Southwest Ranches, FL 33330 About the Role We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented
  • Interior Designer
  • to join our team and lead the interior design development of a high-end residential spec home in Southwest Ranches, Florida.
The ideal candidate will have strong residential design experience and the ability to take a project from initial concepts and space planning through material selections, 3D visualization, detailed drawings, and on-site coordination. You will work closely with the construction and project teams to create a cohesive, modern and marketable interior that fits the target buyer and overall vision of the home. Responsibilities
  • Develop the overall interior design concept for the residential spec home.
  • Create floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations and detailed interior drawings.
  • Develop mood boards, material boards and design presentations.
  • Select and coordinate flooring, tile, countertops, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, wall finishes and other interior materials.
  • Design and coordinate kitchen, bathroom, living, dining, bedroom and other interior spaces.
  • Develop cabinetry and millwork concepts and coordinate with fabricators.
  • Create 3D models and realistic renderings to visualize the finished spaces.
  • Research current residential design trends, materials and finishes suitable for the South Florida market.
  • Visit the construction site regularly to review progress and ensure the design is being executed correctly.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, vendors and project managers.
  • Review shop drawings, material samples and finish installations.
  • Assist with sourcing furniture, décor, fixtures and accessories when required.
  • Maintain design schedules and ensure selections are completed on time.
  • Help maintain project budgets while achieving a high-quality finished product.
  • Identify design or construction issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Prepare presentations and communicate design concepts clearly to the project team.
  • Make site visits to verify measurements and coordinate design details with actual site conditions. Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional interior design experience, preferably in
  • residential or luxury residential projects
  • .
    • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of residential space planning, materials, finishes and construction methods.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD .
    • Experience with
    • SketchUp, 3D rendering or similar visualization software
  • .
    • Strong knowledge of cabinetry, kitchens, bathrooms, millwork and interior finishes.
    • Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design tasks.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
    • Ability to work independently and make design decisions with minimal supervision.
    • Must be comfortable working both in the office and at the project site.
    • Must be able to commute reliably to Southwest Ranches, FL. Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with luxury or high-end residential homes.
    • Experience designing spec homes or homes intended for resale.
    • Experience working directly with builders, contractors and subcontractors.
    • Knowledge of South Florida residential design and construction.
    • Experience with Revit, 3ds Max, Lumion, Enscape or similar software.
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating residential interior design work. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is
