Bath and Kitchen Designer WoodworkingFKS LLC Warren, MI Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $30 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Referral program Qualifications Remodeling Filing Attention to detail Millwork Manufacturing Full Job Description Kitchen Cabinet Designer - 2020 / Mozaik / Cabinet Vision Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Cabinet Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing kitchens, cabinetry, and custom millwork and is proficient in at least one of the following programs:
- 2020 Design
- Mozaik
- Cabinet Vision You will be responsible for taking customer measurements, plans, or design concepts and turning them into accurate, production-ready kitchen and cabinet designs. Experience with custom cabinetry, frameless cabinets, closets, vanities, and other residential millwork is highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Create professional kitchen and cabinet layouts using 2020 Design, Mozaik, or Cabinet Vision
- Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D renderings for customer approval
- Design kitchens, vanities, closets, built-ins, and custom cabinetry
- Review architectural drawings, measurements, and customer specifications
- Prepare detailed cabinet dimensions and layouts for production
- Create accurate cut lists, material lists, and cabinet specifications when required
- Make design revisions based on customer or project requirements
- Ensure appliance openings, fillers, panels, moldings, hardware, and clearances are properly incorporated into designs
- Coordinate with customers, project managers, installers, and production staff
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, and revisions
- Help identify potential design or installation issues before projects enter production Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Designer, Cabinet Designer, or Millwork Designer
- Experience with 2020 Design, Mozaik, or Cabinet Vision is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of kitchen cabinet construction and installation
- Knowledge of frameless and/or face-frame cabinetry
- Ability to read architectural plans and field measurements
- Strong understanding of cabinet dimensions, fillers, finished panels, moldings, appliances, and hardware
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- CNC or cabinet manufacturing experience is a plus Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a strong advantage:
- Custom kitchen cabinetry
- Closets and built-ins
- Cabinet manufacturing
- CNC production
- Cut-list preparation
- Material optimization
- Blum hardware
- Custom millwork
