Interior Designer

Interior Designer Position Overview We are seeking an Interior Designer to support all phases of project design and delivery under the direction of a Project Manager. This role involves client engagement, collaborative concept development, and thoughtful FF&E selections that align with each project's vision, functionality, and budget. The ideal candidate is creative, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a collaborative studio environment. Key Responsibilities Meet with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and overall vision. Collaborate with project teams to develop interior design concepts and refine materials, finishes, and design solutions. Select FF&E that supports the project's aesthetic, functional needs, and budget constraints. Assist Project Architects and senior Interior Designers with the creation, coordination, and organization of design documentation. Coordinate with consultants and other disciplines, including lighting designers and MEP engineers. Manage assigned tasks to meet project deadlines and schedule requirements. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in all drawing sets and design documents. Essential Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit. Background in interior design, architecture, and space planning. Strong ability to communicate design ideas clearly and professionally, and to incorporate constructive feedback. Demonstrated creative strength in conceptual design. Additional Skills & Qualifications Professional portfolio showcasing relevant design work. Resourcefulness in sourcing unique materials, finishes, and furnishings. Strong graphic design sensibility and presentation skills. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and FF&E specifications preferred. Hand sketching and color rendering skills are a plus. Work Environment Our firm is a 30‑person studio based in Charlotte, with a balanced mix of architecture and interiors professionals. The newly opened Wesley Heights office features free parking and a welcoming, team‑oriented atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr. 401k PTO Medical, Dental, Vision Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Charlotte,NC.
