Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and functional needs for residential interior design projects. Create detailed construction documentation, including drafting and building detail drawings that adhere to building codes and safety standards. Produce high-quality renderings and CAD presentations to effectively communicate design ideas. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, coordinating timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently. Conduct site visits for renovation and remodeling projects, assessing existing conditions and ensuring construction details align with design intentions. Prepare contracts, manage project budgets, and oversee lighting sales and installation processes. Ensure all designs meet building code compliance and incorporate sustainable practices where applicable. Experience Proven experience in residential interior design projects with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical skill. Solid understanding of construction detail documentation, building information modeling (BIM) tools, and building code analysis. Experience managing full-cycle design projects from concept development through installation while maintaining client satisfaction. Knowledge of lighting design principles, lighting sales strategies, and remodeling processes including renovation planning. Background in construction or renovation work is highly desirable to ensure practical application of designs on-site. Strong client communication skills paired with the ability to manage contracts, budgeting, and project timelines effectively.
